Floating Between Colors
Acrylic on Timber, 1000 x 800,2024/2023.

A woman floats effortlessly through a storm of vibrant colors—at once vulnerable and powerful, suspended in a moment between thought and emotion. Through bold textures and a radiant palette, the painting invites viewers into a space of introspection, movement, and surrender.

This work will be on display at Te Atamira starting next week.

La Danse des Mouettes
Currently on exhibition at Te Atamira

Inspired by Matisse’s iconic “La Danse” and filtered through the raw, expressive energy of Basquiat, this work is both a tribute and a personal confession. Five figures—part human, part bird—hold hands in a chaotic yet tender circle, suspended in a dreamlike space filled with symbols, words, and fragments of memory.

This is not just a dance; it’s a moment in my life turned into movement, a self-portrait scattered across bodies and layers of paint. The seagulls represent freedom, migration, and the search for belonging. The street-style marks, the scribbled texts, and the layered textures speak of confusion, joy, exile, and creation—all at once.

“La Danse des Mouettes” is about holding on, letting go, and flying in circles that somehow move us forward.
